THE GREYSTONE ESTATE DESIGNER SHOWCASE

November 22, 2008 - Cococozy Cococozy

"Imagine taking a color wheel and choosing almost every color to decorate a room... and imagine doing so successfully.

Last weekend, while touring Veranda magazine's The Great House at Historic Greystone Estate, a showcase home featuring the work of several accomplished decorators, I wandered up to the second floor with friend AZ and nosed into this room...The Gentleman's Atelier.

Who knows how the Gentleman's Atelier was first furnished back in 1928 when the mansion was completed...but rest assured it wasn't decorated like this. It's now a very colorful, eclectic, livable space...that somehow this interior designer managed to make appealing even to "colorphobes" like myself..."
