Lauren Bush Dresses: Boho meets Breakfast at Tiffanys

Stopped by Barney's yesterday to meet Lauren Bush and see her new dress line Lauren Pierce Atelier.  Gotta say the feature in the March Vogue did not do this line justice, honestly!  I just fell in love with the one-of-a-kind dresses with their hand-dyed fabrics - I actually slipped into one for the photo on the left!  You basically pick your fabric - all of which are on display at Barney's, where they are exclusively sold, and then you pick one of five styles.  

The fabrics are made by women in the Democratic Republic of the Congo who are recovering from the effects of war. The combo of the colorful tie die type design with the demure silhouettes is simply smashing!  More in the dresses later....I'll give a blow by blow of all five styles and which one is definitely my favorite and why...gotta head downtown to check out a new spring line for the SheSez Store....stay tuned fashionistas!
